Community Exposure

June 4, 2019

September 17, 2019

We are hosting a one-day solidarity visit to a community involved in the people’s struggles against climate migration, displacements and other threats to their lives and livelihoods.  The visit aims to develop a deeper understanding of the situation and issues that different marginalized sectors are confronting through organizing, advocacy, and action.

The solidarity visit is designed to provide platform for exchange and advocacy support, and is very useful for those who do social research, policy advocacy, international solidarity and movement-building.

After the community exposure, delegates will be asked to report back their experiences and share the stories they have learned from the exposure trip. Call to actions and messages of solidarity are some of the expected outcomes of the exposure.

This is just a one-day event. Should participants wish to stay overnight or spend another day with the community after the conference proper, please let the organizers know so we can make the necessary arrangements.
